(Report from the field) I just arrived at the gig for the day, my first ever bluegrass brunch. The gig is at Hopcat in downtown Grand Rapids, and what a nice place. I feel fortunate to be involved with this band that performs a ton of fun music that most people know and love, done bluegrass style. That let’s us go into venues that traditional bluegrass would never get into.
I couldn’t help snapping a picture of the interior of Hopcat to share with you in case you’ve never been here. The decor is classy with an antique feel to it. Pay them a visit sometime. You’ll have fun for sure.

The HOP CAT is a great place to do a gig. Good beer, good lookin waitresses (all with good attitudes), the music was fun, great day to be pickin, great food, good music….I guess it didn’t suck!
